Skip The Groomerยฎ was created to avoid the shave down! The Emergency Dematter Cream and the Rake Brush have helped tens of thousands of dogs avoid the dreaded shave!
The Whole Dog Care System
Real mats. No shave.
Real clips from owners using the Emergency Dematter and Rake Brush at home.
Apply. Wait. Brush.
The brush makes the difference.
Brushing a dry mat pulls it against the skin. The cream is there to soften the knot first, and the rake is shaped to lift it out once it gives.
- Saturate the mat first. Never brush it dry
- Hold the base of the mat, not the tip
- Start at the ends and work toward the skin
- Short strokes, at the dogโs pace
Holding the base of the mat keeps the pull off your dogโs skin. It is the one habit that makes sessions calmer.

Clean enough to stay on the coat.
A leave-in has to earn its place. Plant-based softeners, nothing that needs rinsing off in a hurry.
No harsh sulfates or dyes. Vegan and cruelty-free.
